Canada vs. USA

Since moving to Fresno, I haven't been able to keep up with the NHL.  We don't have cable/dish, so the only time that hockey is ever shown is during the playoffs.  In Edmonton, it was unavoidable- hockey is still discussed on sports radio throughout the summer, to give you an idea of how big hockey is there.  I can't tell you how exciting it has been to get to watch Olympic hockey these last few weeks!  This past Sunday was the ultimate showdown with the Gold Medal game between Team Canada and Team USA.  With Jason being American and me being Canadian, it's always interesting whenever there's some kind of competition between the two countries.  We both love our countries and are pretty competitive (understatement)!
We headed over to the Macks' home for lunch and to watch the game.  We had hotdogs (American food) and poutine (Canadian food... but it was unauthentic because I couldn't find cheese curds).
Jason and Randy showing some American pride
De and Jamie dressed "neutral," but De is Canadian and Jamie is American
I was obviously rooting for Canada, and Jed decided to root for Canada

(I didn't get any pictures of us during the game because I was totally into it, but you would've seen us cheering and waving our respective flags).  If you didn't watch the game, you missed out big-time!  It was so intense and exciting, made all the better since Canada won in overtime!  Woo hoo!!  Proud to be Canadian!
