Spring Cleanup at Shaver Lake

For the past few years, in the springtime, we've gone up as a family to the cabin at Shaver Lake to help cleanup. The weekend mostly consists of raking pine needles and piling logs, but it's a chance for the family to spend some time together.

We went down to the lake... Very sad to see how low the water levels have gotten...

End of the Spring Sports Season

Well, somehow, we made it through these busy months!  Both kids had an amazing time with their sport teams.  It was so fun to watch both as they learned and became better at their sports.

It'll be nice to slow down our lives now that games and practices are done with!

California Classic Century Ride

I am so proud of Jason... He amazes me with everything that he sets out to do.  For the past few months, he's been training to complete his very first century ride.  His dedication to training has been so impressive and inspiring!
The kids and I went to watch him cross the finish line.  He accomplished 100 miles in about 7.5 hours.  WOW!

I am thankful that Jason has these faithful friends for training partners- Armando and Jorge.  They have encouraged and challenged Jason throughout his training and so it was fitting that they completed this feat together.

California, Here We Come!

The 4th graders at Grace's school put on a musical production related to the California gold rush they've been learning about.  Everyone had to dress up.  Luckily, one of my coworkers had a costume we were able to borrow.  Grace had one line as Narrator #1.

Mother's Day

I am so thankful that I have two incredible blessings in my life who call me, "Mama." I definitely felt celebrated today!

Jason got me a beautiful bouquet of daffodils, Jeremy made 2 frames for me, and Grace's class sculpted figurines.  I absolutely love the Grace's gift- it's probably one of my favorite gifts that I have ever received.  She made this cute little quail!  I just adore it so much!
I got to go to coffee with Karen this morning.  She is without a doubt, my "Fresno mom" and I can't put into words how much I value my relationship with her.
We went to lunch with Jason's mom and sister after church.  These two women have also made a great impact on my life as examples of amazing moms.
